Dr. Sergio Sokol Provides Noninvasive Cardiology Services
Based in Cedarhurst, New York, Dr. Sergio Sokol is the president and owner of Five Towns Heart Imaging, which provides noninvasive cardiac care. Dr. Sergio Sokol has led the practice since 2007 and serves as its acting cardiologist.
Previous, Dr. Sokol was the chief of cardiology at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway. He oversaw a team that supported patients across the New York metropolitan region. His clinical work emphasized noninvasive cardiovascular imaging using echocardiography, PET/CT for coronary artery disease risk assessment, vascular studies, and nuclear cardiology. He also consulted with hundreds of physicians throughout the East Coast.
Dr. Sokol completed a cardiovascular fellowship at Northwell in Manhasset after earning his medical degree from Tel Aviv University’s Sackler School of Medicine. He later earned a master’s degree in health care law from NYU Law. His credentials include board certification in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine.
Castle Connolly recognized him as a top doctor in cardiology for 13 consecutive years, between 2009 and 2024. He is affiliated with professional organizations that include the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. Outside of work, he enjoys ping pong, tennis, and boating.
